This is a follow up thread to my thread titled: Problems that noone can answer 2009 tahoe LTZ. Looking for someone experienced with car audio to try to help me figure out why my system sounds so terrible. I was told it has everything to do with the signal processing conflict between the JL clean sweep and SSI and my factory radio. I currently have a JL audio HD900.5 amp running to dynaudio 242GT speakers in the front, and also hooked up to the factory bose in the back. The speakers sound absolutely flat, like there is no imaging or midbass, it sounds absolutely terrible. I listened to a system today that had the same nav unit radio that I have, except the system could basically run without a clean sweep because the radio had the full voltage range necessary for the system (no idea wtf he was talking about with this). Anyway, he was not sure if my radio was exactly the same, since my model was a 2009 LTZ and was modeled after the Cadillac escalade, which has the 9 speaker bose premium system, (same speaker system mine has) which includes a center channel speaker in the dash. He said that either way, I still wouldnt need the clean sweep, because he would install a bypass for $40 that would take care of the problem. (no idea wtf he is talking about with this either) Anyway, I just want my system to sound like it's supposed to. I listened to his (set of focal k2p, hooked up to a JL HD600.4 bridged) and it sounded amazing. The speakers screamed so loud, it shook the doors. With mine, you cant even feel a **** vibration coming from the doors. Anyway, if anyone has any idea what's going on here, I would love to hear some feedback. Thanks for looking.
