Ok, current setup I have: HU: Pioneer 7400MP Speakers: 2 x 4" Infinity Kappa 2 x 6 1/2" Infinity Kappa Sub: 10" JL audio w6v2 Amp: 500/1 JL mono block amp It's installed in a small little Geo Prizm, and it sounds plenty loud, it just sounds like all the audio is coming from the back (the sub way outpowers the little 4" speakers in front). I really want to amp the speakers I have now, but I'm kinda strapped for cash, and I'm looking for a cheaper alternative. I've had a lot of people recommend installing little 1" tweeters up on the dash or in the door, but I really haven't been able to find out much info on them. I plan on getting them installed professionally, I just want to know whether I'll have to buy a crossover to split the signal in front, or if they can just throw the tweeters in somewhere. I'm not really sure how that works. I just want to know what I have to buy. I'm looking at the Infinity Kappa 10.5t 1" Dome Tweeter, mainly beacuse I'd like to keep all Kappa stuff (i found them used for like $40), and I've been happy with the small speakers I have. But I have also heard great things about MB Quart, and I'm open to any other suggestions. Anyone with any ideas or suggestions, please post. Thanks a lot.
