Message: <blockquote data-quote="wrglyn" data-source="post: 716449" data-attributes="member: 559263">HiWe are just trying to switch head units in my car , the old head unit hasnt worked properly for years and we bought another off ebay the brand is california gold ( anyone heard of this one ??) anyhow there red wire in my car is the remote power wire and the yellow is constant power , on the diagram on the back of the new unit they are reversed with red as constant power and yellow remote , the constant power on the unit has a 0.5 amp fuse , wheras the one in the wire coming from the car is a 10 amp . 0.5 seems way to little to run the constant power wire through and it blows as soon as we try and play a CDdoes it sound odd to anyone out there that the wires seem to be reversed , logic tells me that the lower amp wire should be for the remote power ?Please helpwrglyn</blockquote>
