Hi! I am from Puerto Rico (an Ohio transplant really). I am presently looking to upgrade the sound system in my 2014 Jeep Patriot and wanted to be registered at a site that I felt would be a good resource of information should the need arise. Even though I have a fairly basic understanding of sound systems and past working knowledge of 12vdc systems (ex-Navy Electricians Mate), I have this bad habit of never assuming I know it all. So, I soon hope to be following a few of the threads and please rest assured to see some noob questions on my part in the process! Upgrades to date: - Swapped out the basic HU on my Jeep. Replaced it with my older UConnect REN HU (circa 2008) which I felt has a bit more power (hence volume) and looks much better while maintaining a "stock" look (for my safety concerns). - Added a HIMBOX blue tooth adapter since the REN only accepted my cell phone connecting to it - won't stream my music unfortunately. So far I really can't complain.
