Message: <blockquote data-quote="nineball" data-source="post: 6301908" data-attributes="member: 585829">i was told the exact same thing until i called alpine directly. with the x100 and the imprint you can manually set everything. there are 2 types of imprint kits.the imprint that goes with the ida line must remain connected to the unit at all times for it to work. you can set it manually and adjust as you like or auto-tune and leave it on that setting.the other imprint (for the 9887) must be connected to use but once you auto-tune the settings are stored in the head unit and the imprint can be removed.</blockquote>
