I have a 2000 GMC Jimmy with the upgraded Bose System. I put in a pioneer cd player and all of the sudden my battery starts to die. Knowing I installed the cd player correctly, i thought it was something besides audio. I took it to a few shops and they "fixed" the so called problem. I got a new battery, alt, and fuel pump. Those were the thought to be the problems. Well, the battery still kept dieing and after trying everything i took out the pioneer and put in the factory. What do u no, it fixed the dieing battery. I Know the Pioneer was wired correctly cuz i checked and doubled checked it many times. It never stayed on or showed power when the car was off. I even diconnected it and the battery still died. So this points to one thing, Without the factory in, the battery dies. Does this mean that I cant put in a aftermarket cd player or does the 100$ Bose Intergration Harness from BB really required and u cant just use a regular GM harness. \ I dont want to go and buy the harnss just to find out that my battery is going to die agian. Will the harness prevent my car from dieing or is something wierd going on with my car(facorty wire burnt or disconnected). It seems like the harness will solve the problem but i just wanted to ask the experts first. Please help, I need bass agian!! Sorry if this is a lil long and maybe a bit confussing but i hope u get the piont and can answer my question. If u need any more info, jsut tell me and i can provide it. Thanks in Advance!!
