Today I was driving around fine with my head unit working, got home and washed the dirt off my car after off roading. Then went to go out tonight and the head unit just didn't start. Tried it again 2 hours later and it still wouldn't turn on at all. I checked the fuse and it is fine. I have a after market tachometer in my car which is hooked up to the same 12v+ power as my headunit and the tacho is still working fine so I have no idea why my headunit is not going. All I can think of is that some sort of power surge happened from the constant wire and fired the head unit or something. I have to work in the morning, but when I get home I will take the head unit out and check if a wire came loose while my car was just sitting in my drive. Any other suggestions?
