So, I bought a kenwood stereo for my truck recently and I was installing it yesterday. Ive installed some stereos in past cars so I have a general idea of what im doing. And keep in mind that there was already an older JVC stereo in it so its not the stock one. Anyway, I get done installing it and I go and turn on the truck but nothing from the HU. So, I pull it out and look at the wires and they all seem fine. So, I try it again and still nothing from the HU. So my dad suggests put both red wires and both yellow wires together. After I did that it turned on so I just figured that it was a special case and didnt think much of it. So, I have it on and im setting it up, getting my bass and treble and all that adjusted to my liking and also setting my preset stations that I want. So, I turn the truck off and leave it. A couple mins later I get in, turn the truck on and the stereo resets. It vibrates and goes into demo mode. All my presets and settings are gone. So, basically I cant get constant power to the stereo or something like that. What do I do? Is it the stereo or is it the way I wired it? Please help because its so annoying and I want it to stop. Thanks!
