[QUOTE="perfecxionX, post: 2999256, member: 572854"] i just put an hd312 in a 2@38, and am noticing it drops out on highs unlike my last sub, which was tuned at 36, did not. im not sure at what frequency it drops but, for example, the song "so sick" is much more quiet on the highs than my last sub (sd2.515). until my other amp is done getting repaired, its only getting 8-900 watts, so it is underpowered, but could that account for this? my box panels were not cut that great, could a leak account for this? i bought the sub used, could any damage be the cause? all my settings have remained the same; the only thing that has changed is the box and sub. also, on "hoods run down", when the sub is playing the extremely low notes, and the sub is moving but not producing any sound, you can hear a noise thats hard to describe. i want to say, its almost like you can hear the voice coil moving up and down. its pretty queit. im not sure if this is normal?
