This is all "chicken and egg" bullshit - do people scam insurance because they charge so much, or do they charge so much because people scam? Who cares? Fact is, VERY few insurance companies make money on premiums. If insurance companies had to take all the money they collect, and lock it in a safe for payouts, that well would run dry in hours. They make money from INVESTING YOUR MONEY. They take the billions they rake in and use it as capital for all kinds of investments. That is the ONLY way they make money. Nearly every insurance company has a net LOSS on premiums - they pay out more than they take in. So guess what? Stock market tanked, your rates go up! AND - ALL THE FRAUD CAUSES BILLIONS IN LOSSES TO THEM. And they pass it on to you and me. So go ahead and scam all you want. You'll wind up paying ten times that amount over the course of your lifetime in increased premiums because of your actions and everyone else who does the same thing. And BTW - when you make a claim, your rates increase. So if the insurance company is going to give you $1000 for your "stolen" system, then raises your rates a few hundred bucks, guess what - in a few years time, YOU LOSE ANYWAY. You get yout system now, and wind up paying for it over and over again. Just BUY what you want. And if you can't afford it, SAVE FOR IT. Forget the angles and be a decent person, not a scumbag. BTW - for all those that were wondering, I have NOT had a change of heart. The only reason I asked what insurance company this guy used earlier was so that if he bragged about his little scam, I could "anonymously" call them and tell them they got ripped off by yet one more moron. Grow up dude. Go work for what you want. ~HH
