Yeah, I knew that hotel was supposed to be haunted. Remember when Stephen King released his own version of The Shining(Kubrick did the original) on TV several years ago? It, like the original, was filmed at the Stanley Hotel. I remember reading stories where many of the grunts who worked on the film(big, strapping guys) were spooked-out many times when they felt something sit or lie down on their bed while they were going to sleep. All kinds of crazy stuff happened while they were filming. Remember Andrew Cunanan? He was the gay serial killer who eventually shot designer Gianni Versace in Miami in '97. Well, if you may remember he killed a cemetary worker in Southern NJ before he made the trek down to Florida. Well, that cemetary is in my hometown(Pennsville) and I've been there many times. I even grew up with a guy who's father was once the caretaker of the cemetary. I was inside the house which years later was plastered all over the news and Dateline did a full-length feature on. It was kinda surreal...it's one of the last places that you'd expect for that kind of story to take place. Fort Mott State Park is in the same area(and it's on the http://www.sjgr.org site as well). As kids, we were all over the tunnels and stairways of the old fort(which are now off-limits o the public) and I laughed when the sjgr team explored the main tunnel in one of their investigations since I always got a strange feeling in that area. I just figured it was my imagination getting the better of me....apparently not:D There's a really scary place in Louisville,KY...the stuff I've read about that place will make make your skin crawl. I find this stuff fascinating but I don't think I'd ever go anywhere near that place(it's condemned anyway). I'll come back with the link. The place is called Waverly ?....it was used to treat tuberculosis patients.
