Started with a stock 2005 Silverado Crew Cab. Did a 4/7 drop on it and put on some new shoes and plan to bag it in the near future. I use it to haul the toys with as well as friends so I can't get too carried away with it but I want it to have a nice sound system for not too much money (which is relative I know). So here's where it stands. Gutted the interior the other day to quiet it down. Bought a few rolls of raamat hoping it would deaden the noise (it didn't). One roll was used on the floor and back wall (60 sqaure feet) and it is only one layer thick. I don't think I am using the right material to kill the noise, no matter how many layers I put on. So I need some advice on something to kill the road noise. I think I need a thicker insulation or foam of some kind.
