Message: <blockquote data-quote="phoneman" data-source="post: 524557" data-attributes="member: 541477">I dont even own a 9mm.   I like the mags for hunting big game and also personal defense for the 357 since it is the most effective police handgun round in history.   I use a 40sw for range shooting and self defense in one of my primary defense guns.   I like the .45 for being nastalgic and will take it out when in the mood or feel like being classy.   I think the 9x19 is a good round but I think it is better suited as a plinker or range gun then anything else since its easy and fun to shoot and ammo is so cheap.  It would be the smallest defense round I would use if had to.  Of course you can get +p or +p+ 9mm loads with alot of power and good expansion but not very many 9mm's can handle that hot of a load with such high case pressure.I would say the 40 gets shot the most with me.</blockquote>
