OK so i've been having some problems with my Pioneer DEH-P3600 HU for the past month. It's nothing special, but I'd like to be able to keep it and spend money on better amps rather than buying a new HU. Anyway, its broken 3 times in the past month because i get horrendous alt noise, on/off thump, and weird movement of the speakers. I got it fixed twice and the reciept always says "Replaced open fuse in like out circuit." So I contact pioneer and the guy tells me that I shouldnt be getting noise from an open fuse and that something is wrong with my ground loop circuit... he told me to ground my RCA's directly to the chassis of my head unit. I had no idea why I would have to do that and he explained to just take a ground wire and attach the RCA's to the HU... I didn't go into detail though. So how do I do this? Do I need to ground both pre-outs? Both channels? or what? and what is this supposed to do, exactly?
