I have a 1998 Grand Cherokee with the the Infinity Gold setup that I need some assistance on.. For starters, I already replaced my (blown) speakers with new JVC's, and I am in the process of putting a jvc head unit in.. Problem; After unhooking the factory head unit, I bought the Scorche (sp?) "snap" kit, so the old harness (of two.. whats the word.. wire "blocks"?) would wire up with the new (one block), wired everything, and plugged it in along with the Power antenna. I was left with two other cords, which I believe was for the amp? power and ground? both of them were the smallest "clips" there, one white and one black. The new head unit turned on and tuned, although no sound was coming out of the speakers. The black (to ground I assume) looked like it plugged into the harness.. As i did this, the new stereo turned off completely and wouldn't turn back on. I plugged the old stereo in and the same... the lights will come on in the facia, but the radio itself will not turn on.. I pulled the radio fuse and replaced it, and still nothing.. Neither stereo turns on. Help?
