I remember 15 years ago Michigan had emissions testing but quit.

They arent cutting you a check. They are just giving you a 3500 dollar trade-in basically on a newer, more economical car.

Well **** my car is pretty economical as it is.

Well I could take the new car, and sell it, then I'd have my $3500.

Ya my dad was thinking about taking his 97 maxima and doing this and trading it in on a newer truck. He cant get more then 1500 for the car, and he wants the truck anyway, so its a pretty good solution for him.

They'll give you up to $3k if you buy a car no more than 3 years old. lol Hell, if I could afford a car that new, I wouldn't need their help!

There are some cars out there that are less then 3 years that 3K would pay for close to half of it.
