Well.. first of all, there is absolutely NO competition between this sub, and the jl12w1v2 i was using.. Night and day difference.. i have the crossover in my orion 4002 set at about 180 hz +/- and i can run the gain at virtually any setting without distortion. it takes everything i have thrown at it and has really impressed me thus far.. i am using a front facing sealed box under the back seat in my 97dodge ram, and the manufacturer claims it has 1.2 cu ft, but it doesnt look that big.. i am gonna calculate it, but there are allot of cuts and juts, so it will be difficult.. however, like i said, it sounds amazing in comparison with the jl, which incidently i just bought the beginning of this month, for more money then this AA 12.. i just wish i would have looked into it first, i was just betting on the quality of JL Audio.. i guess they have gone downhill, cause when i owned my last pair of w1's, back in 95, they were great speakers.. I only got to listen to the setup for a little while today, but so far i am very happy with this sub.. clean, sharp, and low bass.. jasper
