133db with windows up, 134.4db with windows down @80hz look at my signature for my setup. I dont think this sounds right. i went to a car toys, and i think they had a audiocontrol spl meter. It was this old silver one. He put the mic on the left top corner of my windshield, and i played bass mechankic cd, i used the one with the all the test tones. I does this sound correct? i coulda sweared it was louder. my friend that used to have a system that was metered at ~150db said mine sounded more like the upper 130's if not low 140's. Basically im dissapointed. I know i have a sealed box, so that doesnt help. but my stereo sounds about twice as loud with the windows down and the meter only noticed a 1.4 db difference., i have 1000rms to them, and they are down firing. does it sound like a messed up mic? or is this what i should expect with my setup? I took the center seat out of my truck and built a box to fit in between the seats. Its 1.97ft3 single chamber. the back of my cab shakes and sounds like a license plate rattling. Im thinkin im losing alot of bass through since i have no deadening material would i get a noticeable improvement on my spl if i dynamatted the whole cab?
