right now i got a alpine hu with 200watts (50x4) and 2 pioneer 6x9's in the back. and a kx600.1 amp with 1 sealed S10l7 that came from kicker authorized dealer(wired at 2-ohm load). theoretically i should be getting 600watts to my sub but it doesn't sound too impressive to me. even my friend said so. he said its because i have only 1 subwoofer, and that if i had 2 12" solobarics it would really thump. is it really that much of a gain in db by having 2 solobarics instead of 1 where i would notice a tremendous difference. also my specs are -gain (turned about 45% up) it goes from 0 to 11 so approximately at 11oclock. my friend said i should keep it at 4 bc thats what my hu is 4v, but i think it sound sbetter with a bit more. -bass boost (set at 0 right now) because it kinda rattled and didnt make it thump clean. maybe if i lowered the gain in the process i should turn this up a bit? x-over (set at roughly 80-90hz) it goes from 50 to 200hz would changing it to a lower setting damage this? also i have a sub sonic filter option but this is turned off. i was told that this was only to be used for ported boxes correct? -HU (volume usually around 28 and it goes up to 35. fader set half way around 9. trebble at +2, bass at -7...reason for this is bc when i turn the bass to more like -2 or even 0, +2, i hear a weird distortion and my two 6x9's are powered by them and they don't like it. i was told by soundcraft that i would need 2 mdf caps to put for my 6x9s, but im not about spending anymore money after looking at my stats, if you have any recommendations, or options i can change that you've had success with, id really appreciate it as im not too impressed with this setup(my 2 10" pioneer run off 760w peak sounded louder than this...) thanks
