cause some of the people I work with (computer software & graphics) never received their high school diploma, but they're some smart-azz mothafukahs; so when they took their GED it really wasn't anything for them.

In most states like Arizona, GED is the exact same thing as a Diploma. I know because I have my GED and studied about it. They both do the same thing, GED just means you have been home schooled and tutored. Plus im already taking college courses so the GED won't matter. I'm getting a degree in electronics and welding.
I took my GED test, finished first everytime. I got an actual High School DIPLOMA. My dad framed it and it just sits in my room. Now, for my career path, I am realizing that I don't really need it. I mainly got it to say I graduated and to get the HUGE weight off my shoulders.

A GED(Good Enough Diploma) is not the same as a HS Diploma.
A GED does not mean you you have been home schooled or tutored. It simply means that you have failed at getting a HS Diploma.
GED won't get you many jobs. Military laughs at them.

Well its true a ged isn't the same as a hs diploma but its good enough to get me in a state college. I dropped out of school my junior year which was 3 years ago, then it took me 6 months of ged classes to prepare me for the test. I would say the test is easy if you had good teachers for your ged classes that can help you out and take the computer tests. Its a very long test(8 hours) and they lie about the score you have to get to enroll in college. They told me I had to score a "1500" to get into Usa which actually I only had to score a 500 which that is a terrible score. I'm glad to say i scored a "2700" so I won't have any problems going to a 4 year college in august. Actually Db your wrong on this one pal. I studied the GED info about what it does and what it can't. The GED can get any job that a HS diploma can get according to the state of Arizona, and California. Now those are the two states I have studied about this test. Some states, but very few have a thing where a GED is really no good. You can't argue this one, because you have never studied the info on it. I have and have takin it. I have asked so many business's about getting a job there with GED they said no prob at all. They even said that a GED was the same as a HS diploma which it is. Home schoolers, and kids that have been tutored get GED's. If you have gone to high school you earn a Diploma. Lets me put it to you like this, my cousin now 19 years of age. Got a GED at the age of 16, like me. He is now working as a vendor for a major corp, that vends to Home depots around the states, making almost 30 an hour and he is 19. I have the same oppertunitie in Prescott, Arizona to make 18 an hour vending for Home depot. I'm sorry but your info on GED's is wrong. Also my best friend who is 18, also has a GED and is training to be in the Air Force as we speak. The Army, Air force, Navy,Marines all requires either a GED or Diploma pal. Believe me I checked because I was thinking of getting drafted to the navy.
