[QUOTE="audiolife, post: 607666, member: 541383"] for horns you need at least 24 db per octive crossover slopes, the trick to getting what most use horns for is to get as much useable freq response from them. i had an idx 24 on mine- thats major bucks new. 24 db allows you to cross them over lower 500-1000 hz than you would with a less step slope. the steeper slope allow the mid bass to play cleanly up where the horn starts. personal opinion you dont need the 6.5's. when i first read your pm i thought the 8's were your subs lol i just reread everything now. i would get the eqx from audio control. if you really want digital i have a c-90 xdp-4000x set up that hasnt been used but my price on it will be firm because i wanna use it. that would do everything only hard part is eqing it and getting it just right 10 band left right parametric eq with 250 diff combinations-just make sure ur lap top has alot of batteries as that or a reg computer with a long serieal cable will be needed. i just want a 1 amp system and there isnt a 5 channel i seen that i can say will power a mid bass well enough to keep up with a horn. my world finals car had 12.5 per horn 150 each going to idq 8's and 800 to a pr of idw 15's. eqts are nice (can be noisey) but for a simple set up at a buget level (still nice though) the eqx would be my choice (but not if money was no object) i have set 2 systems up with that peice 1 with cd-1e's (muhahahah) and another with cd-2 mini horns.
