[QUOTE="snibbbo, post: 1577232, member: 566912"] First post - so please be patient. Main vehicle is BMW 7 which came with a factory fitted audio/cd sytem. No problem, I can live with that - but I have just bought a FORD Van which has a crappy Ford Radio/CD. I wish to replace this and do the installation myself. I am 55, retired and the Van is for part time event management work. I listen to BBC transmissions in England and France. ( including Cricket Commentary on long wave ) I also want to use my Sony Erickson cellphone via bluetooth. It is a strange combination but here we go : - FM/AM/LW ( LW is an option I can drop ) CD/MP3/WMA/RDS (WMA an option) 4 x 15 watts min ( future base unit a bonus ) Combined unit ( pre-amp/power amp/CD ) to fill the hole in the dash Providing hands-free for Sony Erickson 600i ( G3 and Bluetooth ) iPod connectivity a bonus - but would be nice Screen to manage traffic congestion info - a luxury - but helpful I want to use the existing ( crummy ) speakers and fit 2 more in the bulkhead between cab and van space. ( or buy 2 more to add to the two I already have ) Ultimate sound quality not the final goal - but bluetooth hands free for my phone essential. And a screen to handle traffic info would be so nice. (but a bonus) I favour cool subdued funtionality over bling and flashing lights.
