I got an MTX marine amp and MTX marine subwoofer, the infinite baffle one.They said the best place to put it would be under my boat seat facing up, which is fine. But there is no room for a box. They are only mounting it to an epoxy covered piece of board, and the seat is NOT sealed by any means. So this means it is true "free-air".... no box, not even a big one (like a trunk). I am not sure, even though the MTX says it is designed for free-air operation, it seems like the bass will be weak, i always heard you have to seperate the sound waves......will a big board do it? What do you think?</blockquote>
