Ok first off, I am new to these forums, but not new to forums in general. I have been using forums for almost 5 years so I know how not to be a noob. ANYWAYS, I have a couple of questions about a setup. I may be getting this so I need to know. And I am not that knowledgable in this subject. My first question is about "channels". If I were to have: 2 12 inch subs 3 sets of speakers (Like the Alpine Type X speakers which come with 2 woofers and 2 tweeters in each set) 2 Alpine amps How many channels is that? I know how a computer relates to channels or surround sound does. Like 5.1 means 5 speakers and 1 sub. Front, Rear, Center, and sub. Also is that more than 4 channels(I don't know how it works with cars)? Basically what I want is this I want 2 12 inch Alpine Type X subs, 3 sets of the Type X speakers, and 2 Alpine amps. What type of amplifiers would I need? I was also looking at the Pioneer AVH-7600DVD to control all this? Will it be able to? Or is it more than 4 or 5 channels. Also what would I need to power all this? Would my cars battery be fine? Or do I need seperate power? THANKS GUYS! I REALLY APPRECIATE IT!
