Gains on my HiFonics Amp

to set the gains i would suggest not hooking up the bass boost knob, on mine there is an line input knob or something that should say .2v-9 volts or so. You should start by trying to find out how many volts your headunits preout is and then turn this knob to try and match. that is the main knob for adjusting the gain the rest on my 1500d are for tuning. good luck go read the gain setting tutorial and your going to need a dmm.

read the sticky!

i also suggest ditching the bass knob, but don't know about the idea of matching the spec'd preout voltage and the voltage markings on the amp. that's not really accurate at all.

turning it towards the 0.2 side should make it louder. that is increasing the sensitivity.

Ok, so I set my level to the correct setting. Although my subs hittin the lows like a dream, its not movin all that much. So my last question is...can I raise the bass eq without messing up my volts.
