So I decide that wasnt right so i decide to redo it again for the 3rd time to what I had it the first time, but the gain only went to about 1/2 and it sounds okay, but no where near as good the first time also the third time. The bass on the hu was set to 9/15 so I cant figure it out I have a kenwood kac-x889 is there something I'm doing to through my readings off like this or whats the deal. Also everytime I readjust my gain I unhooked my battery and rehooked it so my settings on the hu would reset so I no I have a flat freqency and I always start the car when I set the gain and always used the same 50 hz 1 db track. I'm about ready to pull my hear out because if it only goes as loud as it does now I'm extremely dissapointed. My old system was a RF 1000bd with two kicker 12" L7's and it alot louder then what I have now. Of course I didn't have the gain set right then, but it never gave me any problems for the 6 months I had it.
I need help setting up my system I have a ed 9.1 and a 12" pioneer premier running at 1 ohm the first time I set it up at 34.6 volts, because that what I figured it out to be the gain was 3/4 the way up at 25/35 volume the bass was strong and great. Sounded awesome, but it overpowered my highs so I readjusted to 32/35 volume and I realized that it might be to high and my hu my clip the system. Also the 2nd time I set it up the gain was only a quarter of the way up and it didn't hit anywhere near as loud as the first time.
