One you have done that set your headunit volume at about 3/4 volume (close to preout rating, if you can find the preout voltage for your headunits RCA outputs that will help a lot.) Anyways after that play the 70-75hz tone and then turn the knob down on the LPF until the voltage stops dropping that's where you want your LPF.
FIRST AND FOREMOST MAKE SURE YOUR CAR IS STARTED WHEN YOU DO ALL OF THIS His explanation is far better but in short just get a tone disc with -3dB 25,50,70-75hz tones turn all of your headunits filters wide open meaning: LFP all the up and Subsonic all the way down do that with your amplifier as well and turn your gain down start your car then you'll want a Digital Multimeter DMM for short and set it to AC voltage and unplug your subwoofers from the amplifier then put the Positive from the DMM on the positive for your speaker terminal and then you put the Negative on the Negative terminal screw them in. One you have done that set your headunit volume at about 3/4 volume (close to preout rating, if you can find the preout voltage for your headunits RCA outputs that will help a lot.) Then you will play the 50HZ -3DB tone and turn the gain up until the multimeter matches voltage you need on this chart: So say if you're running 100w @ 4 ohms you would want 20v on the chart... I usually turn it up about 5v extra depending on power/voltage drop because of the -3db but you don't have to that's just me. Anyways after that play the 70-75hz tone and then turn the knob down on the LPF until the voltage stops dropping that's where you want your LPF. Then you want to do the same with Subsonic put on the 25hz tone and turn the Subsonic up until the voltage stops thats where your Subsonic needs to be. One you do all of that put your headunit settings back where they were and NEVER TOUCH BASS BOOST like mast said. Also if you want you can save the Image and print it out and read the instructions like that but it doesn't really explain in depth like mast or I have.
