well i sold my eclipse so i have no need for this at the moment. http://www.epicenterdesigns.com/steer.htm the pics are at the bottom the ones listed for a customer in california for an eclipse aka (ME). It was done by DbornotDB here on ca.com it could possibly fit other steering wheels if it is the same shape as the one you see in the pics or could be moded. this does not include the steering wheel just the fiberglass part with the tv and also the brain. I must also note that on the wire that connects to the back of the tv. some of the insolation was damaged about an inch of it. the small wires under the insolation are fine and this could easily be fixed with some electrical tape or i can fix it. just fealt that i should inform potential buyers of this.

Bah ill have to get the model when i go back to my uncles house. its a 7" pioneer screen one of the ones that normaly come with the headrest brackets to sit on your headrest bars. it was about $250 for the screen on ebay. i used it hooked up to a camera and the resolution was pretty nice froma few other screens i have seen before. but ill get the exact model number on monday and post it up

there are a lot better life saving devices you can have in your car other than an airbag. let me go get the model of the tv and ill post it up
he never said it was the best. but it can HELP save your life.

a lcd in your steering wheel however, can not. in fact, it can distract you more than an airbag would id imagine. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

I just founded that under federal law, u can be subject to $10000+ fine and jail time for removing an airbag from a vehicle.

you could just say that it was deployed. if you say ran into a wall with your car and then fixed it witout getting your insurance involved there is no real way to tell. I used this tv hooked up to a camera so i could see whats going on behind me. anyone ever notice how effective their rearview mirror is when you have a system. looks like there is an earthquake and you cant make heads or tails of whats going on behind you. but mostly people put these in their cars for a show car. it is infact illegal to have screen in the drivers view. However i am not sure if it is illegal to have the screen for navigation or for a camera as there are some cars that come with a screen for a camera (stock and also stock navigation)

My friend found out that most cars have a seperate piece that goes over the airbag area and once its deployed you can remove what evers in there and put something in there and have it look stock with the original piece that covered the airbag. So find a small monitor and put the cover over it

All your bs about running into a wall and not replacing with airbag is not going to work. Once you get into a wreck, no matter what who caused it, you are central investigation point. Not worth it at all. After that they find out you caused it because of tv in your steering good luck getting another insurance company.

WTF are you talkiong about??? if you have Plpd and you reck your car do you call your insurance company? no because they wont do anything about it plpd dosnt cover you all they would do is raise your rates. so all you do is fix it yourself. plus once its deployd you are not required to go out and buy new airbags. also my comments was more of a joke than being serous but i doubt someone could prove that you didnt get in a wreck and fix the car also you could hide the screen and the airbag could be re mounted if you remove it. but hey maybe someone just peed in your cheerios and thats why your being so anal. I didnt make this thread to discuss the legality of having a tv in your steering wheel so if you could please keep those coments to yourself or go make another thread instead of getting mine off track. like i said this is mostly used for show car application. or for someone who dosnt give a F*** or can hide it. if its hidden i doubt i cop will pull you over and ask "So are there any hidden tvs i should know about?" when nothing looks out of the ordinary

I've got first-gen airbags anyway in my van, I'd rather have them disabled before they kill me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I'd be curious if this could interface with a VGA terminal...
