I've got 2 decks sitting here that i have never quite gotten around to sending off for repairs. Both decks are not acting like they should First up, the CD8454. I bought this deck from a member here only to learn that (1) the cd drive is insanely finicky about reading CDs; half the time i put a disc in, it refuses to read the disc. I wasn't too worried about that since I have a car mp3 player anyway and was simply going to use the deck for processing and use it's aux input for my mp3 player - but the aux input also has a shoddy left channel - if you wiggly the aux-in cable or apply pressure against it in the right way, it works, then stops if you let go of it. Got the remote for this one, too. Selling as-is for 50$ shipped. I researched fixing this deck and was told it would cost ~70$ to send off to an authorized Eclipse repair center. To be clear, the deck powers up, plays fm radio fine, all of it's functions are perfect. It's the cd player and the aux-in that are causing me headaches. next up, the CD8051. This deck had it's RCA's shorted out and either doesn't output any volume or outputs garbled/semishorted sound from those RCA's now. The deck otherwise functions fine (no problem with the motorized screen, aux-in, radio, cd player, etc.) Also selling as-is - for 35$ shipped And was also told it would cost ~70$ to repair it. Buy both at once for 70$ shipped. I'll have pics up tommorrow; my **** digital camera took a shit today so i'll have to borrow a friends. I've sold an epicenter and a set of Rainbow Germanium speakers here on CA.com for refs... here..though i forget which fellow from the thread bought the epicenter, lol http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=169325 and here, the germaniums to zxcvtypo: http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=241152
