One of my friends got a amp about a year ago for his 2 12" pioneers he has them in a ported box and the amp worked fine for a year or more. Well all of a sudden here recentlyhe has a problem his amp is set perfectly and everything, when u try to turn it up loud his amp will go into protect when the subs hit then switch back to normal when the bass in the song stops hitting. It only does this when he tries to turn it up to like 16 on his Hu. But he should be able to turn it up more so it gets really loud. But he cannot because his amp goes into protect when he tries to increase the volume. Any ideas what is going on? is it a wiring problem. Or is it the fact that his amp is a Boss amp? Right now i just turned the gains down so his subs wont hit and mess something up.
