Foam behind door panel?

My question is, will it help much if I put foam on the inner part of the the first panel (where your door handle is connected, locks, etc.)? Would this yield any results? Stupid question now, would a tupperware lid work kind of like a deflex pad? It probably doesn't, but always wondered. View attachment 9363

(if image doesn't work here is link to what I'm talking about: http://www.kshs.org/cool/cooltupper.htm )

Putting closed cell foam on the inner surface of the door trim panel mostly helps prevent buzzing between the trim panel and the sheet metal.

Tupperware lid is too hard to do much good. Deflex pads are like a stiff Jello - it isn't just the shape.
