Message: <blockquote data-quote="qwertvt" data-source="post: 3207608" data-attributes="member: 577992"><p>George is right.  Flac files are best for archiving.  I use to trade bootlegs and shn and now flac files are an absolute must.  If one person compresses a show to mp3 and trades it to another who might also compress that show to mp3 you begin to see degradation among the show that is being traded somewhere down the line.  The idea among traders is to preserve the integrity of the music so mp3s are despised.  For general use though, I bet you can't hear the difference between a good mp3 and a flac file.  Just don’t trade music that is not considered lossless quality.</p></blockquote><p></p>
