Well, I'm not new to the car audio/video sceen. I've just really never had much interest in it until now. I've always been about performance and going fast, hints my user name, But I've recently sold my Evo and have an Rsx now. I'm startin to save for a house and the Evo was just overkill. I work 40-60 hours a week and just use it to drive to and from work. It just wasn't very logical to pay 450 a month for a car I wasn't putting to good use. Anyways, this is what I'm looking into. I'm current research the Pioneer Avic-D2 for the head unit. I love all the features and actually like the idea of using an external Dvd player. So, I can use all the feature of the HU with out having to remove a cd. The D1-2 are really nice looking. They're not too blingy looking and actually have a somewhat stock apperance. My only complaint is the low 2 volt pre outs. What should I do about this. Is there anything I can do to raise this up some. Like using the Alpine PXA-H700 digital processor or something. The car currently has infinity reference 6.5" components front and rear. I'm gonna stick with those for now, unless they don't perform as well as I'd like once I amp them. For the sub I'm gonna go with the Alpine 12" Type R. I'm gonna power the components with the Alpine V-series mrf-450. I'm gonna power the Sub with the alpine M650. I'm gonna run the amp at 2ohms so it should be plenty enough to power the sub. I work at Best Buy. So, my main objective is using as much product from the store as possible. Employee discounts rocks on car audio and our PRP and PSP are really helpful to have if I have any problems with the equipment i purchase. I'd really appreciate and comments, questions, or concerns yall have. thanks and have a good night. -Chad-
