I still need to purchase an amplifier for this sub which is where i am currently stuck. I have been looking at a Skar Audio lp1000, but Skar reviews are somewhat mixed. Some people say they have some quality amps and just poor customer service, and others just hate them all together. My budget for an amp is unfortunately only about $200, although i would be willing to go over a little if it seems worth the cost. I definitely need an amp with the capability to use a bass knob up at the front of the vehicle and am open to any suggestions you may have. I would also like any advice on wiring kits and wanted to know if I will need to upgrade my alternator immediately or if that can wait until a later date. As far as I know the Murano has a 110 amp alternator stock (this may be incorrect as I didn't find anything stating this specifically but that seems to be the most commonly sold for my vehicle). I anticipate having to upgrade the big 3 too. I have also attached my box design if someone wouldn't mind giving it a once over. I tuned it to 30 Hz, if this is wrong please let me know.

[QUOTE="breeze174, post: 8677772, member: 677325"] Hello, Lets see if the second time is the charm. I made a post the other day but it was deleted after the server upgrade so here we go again! This is my first time attempting any sort of audio upgrade in a vehicle and I have gotten as far as purchasing the sub woofer I want and attempting to design a box. I drive a 2004 Nissan Murano and have an American Bass XFL 1222 which is a 1000 watt rms 2 ohm dual voice coil sub that, as I understand, can be wired to 1 ohm or 4 ohms. I still need to purchase an amplifier for this sub which is where i am currently stuck. I have been looking at a Skar Audio lp1000, but Skar reviews are somewhat mixed.
