As for the Type R sub, those are very good subs for the price so thats a good buy also. Get the dual 2 ohm version so you can wire it to 1 ohm . Then for the amp , the Hifonics amp you have listed is 1 ohm stable meaning that it would match up well with the Type R , and the Hifonics amp is bit more stronger then the Alpine .  As for what box too put the sub in , it depends on what you are looking for from your system . Ported for Overall SPL output or Sealed for better sound quality with a little less SPL output</p></blockquote><p></p>
