[QUOTE="bbking9, post: 3185699, member: 578569"] Been reading this forum for a few weeks. My daughter just got a 1998 Jeep Cherokee. Already had an aftermarket HU - but thats all. Didnt want to break the bank so got Phoenix Gold RDS65CS (based on reviews here) and a MB Quart RAB250 - a tiny 50X2 amp mounted under the seat. No sub planned - just good clean sound. Installed some cheap but nice Clarion 2 ways in the rear for fill. Total cost $240. I thought the amp install would be tough - but it was easy compared to the speaker install. Stock speakers were 5 1/4 - but crutchfield had many 6 1/2s listed as well - so gave the PGs a shot. Well they were too deep - but thanks to reading threads here - I knew I had to make a spacer. Came out great and sounds awesome. Wont break any glass - just good clean sound. Thanks to all for all your great reviews and tips - they helped an lot and gave me the confidence that I could do it.
