I finished yesterday installing my components into my 06 Accord. They are Boston Pro60's powered with a JL 300/4. Also I have a Kenwood KDC-K990 installed in the lower pocket with the metra pocket kit for Accords. The tweeters are held in place with 3M adhesive putty and extra strength double sided tape. To adjust tweeter angle I simply push the tweeter at the desired angle and the putty keeps the exact shape. The putty does not dry out. *This is temporary - I am trying out different tweeter positions then I will cut holes where needed* The woofers are in the stock places, held in with a 3/4 mdf baffle. I also put 2 layers of dynamat under the door panel. I still need to dynamat the inner door skin. So far I really enjoy the sound of the Boston Pro's, nice and bright tweeters with very strong midbass. I had to attentuate the tweeters to -4db at the crossover, otherwise they were overpowering the midrange. I also had to EQ a -3dB dip around 4KHz as the tweeter can get a bit harsh with the vocals in that range. Along with that they were given a +5dB boost at 12.5KHz and a +3dB boost at 80Hz for added exaduration of midbass and cymbals. They are HPF'd at 80Hz with a 12dB slope I believe. Oh yeah, the amp is mounted all the way to the right because I'm adding a subwoofer soon so the amp for that will go on the left. It's too bad Ascendant Audio has taken 8+ months to recone my Avalanche and I still haven't got it back from them. So without further ado, here are the pics:
