I dont think you need a new amp. If its rated at 300 watts max its probably putting out about 150 watts rms into 2ohms (assuming your running dual 4ohm voice coils paralleled) which is enough for an RE8. Besides you dont need anybody to tell you if the amp is sufficiently pushing your sub without excessive distortion, you have ears. On the video it obviously being pushed past musical (if you can say that about what you were playing). its obviously clipping as well, you can clearly see the excursion is not linear in the video. If the amp is pushing the sub sufficiently under "normal" operating conditions (when the music still sounds like its suppose to. think how it sounds at low volume only louder with no additional audible distortion) it probably poweful enough. you just need to turn it and/or the bass down to normal levels or get a bigger sub/amp package if thats not enough. and of course the speaker sounds louder the louder you push up the crossover frequencies, the higher you push the x-over the higher frequencies the sub is playing. its not playing louder its just playing more frequecies than when you have it set at say 70hz. Your other speakers should probably be playing anything about about 100hz.
