[QUOTE="yne721, post: 1229259, member: 563261"] for those of you that bashed me or called me a follower for having a type r, **** you. i'm sure you didn't spend 300 dollars on your fist sub, and i'm also sure that you didn't just go to a subwoofer store and just pick out anything. this is my first sub, i wanted it to be better than a meijer sub, and i didn't feel like spending 300 dollars on a sub only to find out that a sub in my car wouldn't be as appealing as i thought it would be. i asked for peoples opinions, and i don't see any problem with buying a type R as my first sub. for all you know, in a month i will realize i want a better sub and i'll buy one, but you have to start somewhere. so once again i'll say **** you to all the bashers. as for the box, i don't really think it's prefab, but i didn't build it myself. i don't know what it's tuned at, or the cubic feet or anything, because as I stated, i'm ordering a box from a boxmaking company online, but i didn't really feel like waiting a month until i could install my sub. i paid the same price for the sub and the box, as i would've paid for the sub alone with shipping from onlinecarstereo.com so i figured why not. and for anyone that was supportive, i'd like to say thank you. i'm getting it installed tomorrow, and yes i'm getting it installed in a car audio shop because i'm not yet educated in amplifier installation and subwoofer installation(so **** you naysayers again) and i'd rather have someone do it proffesionally and pay them for it, then do it myself and **** up all my new equiptment. it's going in a 1991 Mazda 626, and after i get it installed i'll take pictures of it, and i'll try to post them before work, if not i won't be able to put them up until around 6am eastern time.
