I plan on buying some Audioque HDC3 12s when they come out so I wanna start on an enclosure.. ALtho I can design a pretty good standard box I **** at woodwork.. So I wanted to test myself with fiberglass.. problem I dont know how to do it and and I cant find good tutorials (link me if U got em) ITs gonna have a MDF skeleton with mdf Sub mounting rings.. and I was hoping to use fleece or a similar material to cover the box with.. Do I use the hardener straight on this or must I add a 1st layer on the fleece 1st? thestuff that makes it hard is it the hardener/resin??.. then body filler? like I said Im a NOOB at it and would like to learn without getting flamed by a bunch of wise *****.. so here's what I have in my head 1) make the MDF skeleton.. including MDF mount rings and Braced and Port 2) cover with the Fleece material and make it smooth 3) add the hardener/resin and make it strong and dry and smooth as possible 4) Trim, Body filler, sand, sand, and make a smooth and clear shell to paint 5) Paint and install Im shootin for 5cuft-ish at 40hz and have it ported at the rear So you cant see in the sloppy port lol If I can learn it i will practice and hopefull get good enough.. Everybody has to start somewhere
