Message: <blockquote data-quote="azimuth" data-source="post: 2216408" data-attributes="member: 566682"><p>my dad run's modifieds in az. he tinkered with the motor (was setup for short track) and took it to the drag strip. it did 185. i think the racing gas is 108 octane, but i'm not sure. he also bolted plexi over the windows (windows are just netted), which they had to do with him sitting in the car (doors are welded shut). no speedometer either, so that speed was done with radar. i'm assuming that it's accurate, maybe even a little more accurate at that speed than a speedometer.</p></blockquote><p></p>
