[QUOTE="wags, post: 471911, member: 548116"] Well, I'm glad you are receiving a 'fair and balanced' education. I believe it's only necessary to be nonpartial to any particular side if you were a high school teacher. Professors have much more headroom when it comes to teaching from their own perspectives and beliefs. I mean, for example, we had this one English professor that was some extreme pothead that had too much tenure for the university to fire. I heard he would give anyone an A on a speech/paper if it was pro-marijuana (for effort). Anything pro-weed would get an A in that class - this is at a state university. Besides that, there would be absolutely no way for me to make it through some of my classes alive had I not just sucked it up and went along with the extreme liberal point of view that many of these classrooms/profs had. Now I'm not saying I didn't get anything out of it (thinking from a different perspective and all that), but a lot of these entry-freshman level classes where I go are geared towards making the students liberals (Thank God I'm a sr). I'm not saying you are brainwashed, I'm just telling you the college environment is perfect for such attempts - you just have to pay closer attention to pick up on it , and even if it doesnt exist where you are, it does elsewhere.
