Hi all. I'm new to this so go easy please :-) My current car audio is basically stock, with a Blaupunkt head unit and 2 x 8" subs powered by a small factory sub amp. The sub amp picks up it's feed from the rear door speakers. I have upgraded all the door speakers to JBL GTO638's and they sound good but I wanted a little more power so I've added a Kenwood KAC-M3004 4 channel amp that has speaker level inputs. Funny thing is the subs no longer work. If I take the amp out of the loop the subs work again. I've fiddled with the gain, LPF's and HPF's on the amp but no combination of anything will get the subs to fire up with the Kenwood amp connected. I can only assume there is something about the signal being sent to the sub amp it doesn't like. Can anyone help?
