At our shop we do a lot of these type replacements. A W7 just simply isn't going to bolt up in that spot, as most woofers wouldn't either. There are two options we typically do. #1 - You can bolt a Kicker Comp 10" up in that exact spot and it will run off the factory head unit OR if you have an aftermarket radio and you are letting the factory amp run the mids you can sometimes bridge the rear outputs of the radio (like a pioneer) and use their "70 watts RMS" (yes, I know it's not 70 true watts you flamers! lol) out of the rear channels and still have sub control. A really nice and inexpensive way to get just a little more kick. #2 - if you want considerable more kick, we also typically bolt a CompVR up in that spot and run it off of a Kicker 400.1 that we tuck away somewhere nice and it adds hella kick to the factory system. Still a very affordable way to get some more bass. Just some options for you to think about. ps...both of these woofers are free air capable and require no modification of the rear deck or adding of a big bulky subwoofer enclosure.
