Ok guys i found an old alpine that i was looking for (Alpine 7892). However there is a small problem with it. The faceplate lighting on the deck doesnt work sometimes. It will work but if I hit a bump or something it will go out. This is just the lighting on the buttons that does this, not the screen/display. If I hit another bump, or lightly smack the deck it will come back on. Also on one side of the screen, it is kinda faded. Read-able, but not as bright as the other side of the screen. It is always like this. Everything eles on the deck works just fine and as it should. Seems soild. I got it on the cheap from a friend b/c he bought an eclipse flip out. so am cool with the issued as everything eles works. My question is, will a different faceplate solve this, or is it a problem within the deck that would need to be fixed? The unit is a alpine 7892. thanks
