I had 96 Lumina and had: 3000 watt mono block Boss Blade Amp, 4000 watt Audiobahn Immortal 12" sub, extra battery, isolator in the trunk. Inside the car I had like 5 switches; 1 powering 3 neons,2 fuzz buster,3 vents leds,4 another 8led light,5 cigarette lighter power. The setup looked like this. Meaning I had 2 0awg wires running from under the hood back to the trunk. All 0 awg wire n with fuses in correct locations I now have a 98 Lincoln continental; same amp, now a 4000 watt cerwin vega stroker 10" sub, a capacitor and a optima battery under the hood. Still have everything from the Lumina. I want to only add 2 switches with low power consumption. Waiting for warm weather to install. I dont want to have to run 2 0awg wires through the whole car again. Thats why I bought a cap. I have been reading and seeing everyone says trash the cap.lol. My question is: Can the cap serve some purpose? Wanna use it for voltage meter. Is there a way to install a second battery efficiently without an isolator n such? I want to use as little trunk space as possible. Can I get away with just an optima battery under the hood? Any help is appreciated!! Thank You
