[QUOTE="ahole-ic, post: 7663416, member: 619324"] To say something is random, is to admit you do not know the cause. Not that there isn't one. Because of this simple fact, it is imperitive to define something. The theory of "evolution" is much different than "evolution". The theory of evolution is that man evolved from a single celled organism. He changed his physical body over time to adapt to the environment. Evolution itself is not contested. We know that when people are put in adverse scenarios, they adapt to make it livable. They don't change their physical bodies to more suit the situation because they cannot. They use their minds to manipulate the environment. So simply saying that there are anomolies in genetics that we don't understand, therefore they are "random mutations" thus human evolution is quite a stretch by any means. So in your opinon, the fact that we have immune systems, and genetic traits proves the theory of evolution? You realize you are arguing something unrelated to attempt to prove something right? Until you can show where a genetic anomoly produced a gill and fins for people who are frequently in the water, and then survival of the fittest caused those in that area without gills and fins to die out your argument does not apply to the discussion.
