It will increase the chance of you hurting/smoking something with the volume cranked.If you are gung-ho about extracting the most out of your system and not so concerned about limiting risk of damage, which it sounds like you aren't - just set your gains with a -10dB tone and a DMM. It will get you where you want to be - Loud and using all of your amp power while still limiting to a degree how much you clip the signal.To answer your question you should be fine with around 800 watts.</blockquote>
