Alright, So I've recently installed two amplifiers in my vehicle. I've got a Pioneer Premier DEH500 Head Unit, which comes equipped with 3 2.2v preouts. Once I introduced my Orion 4 Channel amplifier I've got crazy engine noise and constant hiss coming from the amped speakers. I've tried multiple ground points for both amplifiers with no success. I've even tried grounding the HU to the same spot the amps are grounded in the truck, no luck. I've tried using different rca cables to connect the amp to the hu, no luck. However, I've narrowed it down to the REAR PREOUT causing the noise and hiss. As soon as I make contact with the negative side of the RCA the hiss is very audible. When I remove the RCA, only the rear the noise is totally gone. Now, the only difference with this specific preout and the others is that it comes out of the deck with a wire as opposed to being directly on the rear face of the deck. Any ideas? dk
