Getting a larger/higher output alt is a great thing to do but in larger systems doing both upgrades is suggested. Think of the alternator as a motor on an air compressor and the battery as the compressor tank. You can have a totally bad assed compressor motor but if the tank is too small or has holes you are limited anyway.</p></blockquote><p></p>
